An Indigenous-led research alliance between Australia’s largest hospital and health service and Australia’s largest Indigenous primary health care provider to improve patient pathways, models of care and health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
RAUGH’s vision is to transform health service delivery and achieve health parity for urban Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples (respectfully referred to as First Peoples hereafter) by ensuring the whole of health care system is responsive to the health and wellbeing needs of First Peoples. This vision aligns with the strategic goals and objectives of Metro North Health’s Equity Strategy and the South East Queensland First Nations Health Equity Strategy.
RAUGH seeks to achieve this vision through leading world-class research, evaluation and knowledge translation pursuits, alongside a focus on building research capabilities and capacity within the health care system.
